& Preperation
set-up
We protect your bushes and flowers from paint chips by placing breathable green drops on to them. This allows us to easily collect any debris falling in to the garden and making it an eyesore.
Scraping/sanding/caulking
Scraping- old paint need to be manually scraped so new paint can adhere correctly . We discuss thoroughly how deep we want to scrape because this is where most of the time takes place. On stucco whole area may need to be scraped , the same for cedar shakes or fascia boards.
Sanding- after scraping we sand the area (fascia, wood trim, aluminum) to make them smooth in appearance. Again we customize this to your standards
Caulking- we caulk after sanding so no dust particles land on the caulk and leave blemishes when finish paint is applied. We caulk crevice around trim, stucco, aluminum, or anywhere we do not want water to enter.
Priming &
PAinting
Priming
Priming- Is done to bare wood, new or scraped stucco, bare aluminum, light color over dark colors , or any areas needing to be sealed. Flashing may occur if not sealed properly. Flashing is when finish paint is not consistent. there are spots where paint has dried differently whether knot flash through or stucco is not uniform. Oil primer prevents this from happening.
Painting
After the exterior is scraped,sanded, caulked, and primed we commence painting. Larger project require squaring up or in other words one side is completed full and then we move to another side. This is so we are not running all around the house. We do 2 coats to all previously painted surfaces and prime bare areas and the apply 2 coats. We offer Duration exterior and Resilience paints from Sherwin Williams. These are high quality paints which will give you a long paint life
Cleaning
& walk through
CLeaning
After each day of painting we pass a vacuum around our worksite to make sure paint chips and debris are picked up. We know the eyesore paint chips can be on new mulch. After completing painting we go over the entire worksite one more time to ensure cleanliness.
walk- through
The final walk through is where we get feed back from our clients on how good of a job we did. We walk around with clients and inspect our job . This is where final payment will be received.
